Tehri Dam
The Tehri Dam of Uttarakhand is the highest dam in India, 2nd highest in Asia and 8th highest in World. It is on the Bhagirathi River near Tehri Garhwal in Uttarakhand, India. Tehri dam is about 260.5 metres (855 ft) high rock and earth-fill embankment dam. Its length is 575 metres (1,886 ft), crest width 20 metres (66 ft), and base width 1,128 metres (3,701 ft). The dam creates a reservoir of 2.6 cubic kilometres (2,100,000 ft) with a surface area of 52 square kilometres (20 sq mt).
Soham Heritage and Art Centre
Soham Heritage and Art Centre is located in Kashi Devasthanam which is some 3 km away from Mussoorie. It is a socio-cultural hub owned and managed by Dr. Kavita Shukla and Mr. Sameer Shukla. The organization works towards the promotion of spirituality, educational empowerment of the poor and underprivileged children, and preservation of art and heritage of Uttarakhand.In Soham Heritage and Art Centre, the history, culture and traditions of the people of Uttarakhand have been displayed through works of art.
Safari in Kodia
Safari in Kodia forest and spotting wildlife are among the most exciting things to do in Kanatal. The Kodia forest range from Swarg Yogini to Neelkanth has amazing thick plush green vegetation and is known for its rich flora and fauna. In the forest, you can spot numerous rare bird species and animals like musk deer, wild boar, and nilgai, and barking deer. Be prepared to capture them in your camera, along with clicks of the most photogenic scenic splendors in Kanatal. Charges: INR 2500 per person for a 2-hour jungle safari in a jeep Timings: The safari starts early in the morning. Contact forest department for exact safari timings.
Valley Crossing
Thanks to amazing picturesque valleys, valley crossing is one of the most exhilarating things to do in Kanatal. A popular tourist attraction, this rope activity actually requires a lot of patience and physical fitness. However, it is performed under professional guidance. Valley crossing involves crossing an 80 ft deep valley by pulling a rope. If you are a first timer, go for a shorter distance crossing. Charges: INR 300 per person for 15 – 20 minutes activity.

A place closest to nature and verily most peaceful place I had visited till now. Located in the mid of mountain ranges at an altitude of 8500 ft . camps and cottages are good neat and clean place. Food facilities is nearly more than 5 star. Activities and treks are in the surrounding area.
